But only half of this duo is Canadian. According the the Vancouver Sun the young man is an Aussie.
Well the joke was more important than its accuracy, I think.
My point was apparently unclear and my fault completely. Perhaps the Canucks should be scouting Down Under for their big guns.
The real story here is actually that she was hurt after being knocked down, and bashed about a bit by Police shields. In general the police were praiseworthy, but in this instance over bullish. Interesting that the photo went viral and showed up in newspapers worldwide. Richard Lam was the news photographer.
I'd have to say that I really enjoyed this post - the joke was definitely more important than the photos accuracy. Nonetheless, an enjoyable post regardless.
