Latest house underway
A house in the Gulf Islands is underway in the factory right now. It will be clad in rusted steel:

No, it is steel with a copper alloy, and it rusts then stops. There used to be a similar product called Corten Steel, used in large buildings in the past like the Ford Foundation Building in New York. The latest version is less 'weepy' after a short time. Zahner makes it.

Won't the rust from the steel stain the foundation and decking materials?

Very cool idea. I see little stickers on the shipping containers rolling through town sometimes that say "Repair with Corten steel only"
